Hello world!
Has anyone seen the move Ocean's 13 when they did a "soft open" of the new casino? That is where we are with the website! So, I am loving the design - truly remarkable, and the fact that I built it in about 3 hours. Yes, there is still much work to be done but a website is certainly an on-going process. It is NEVER right the first time...kind of like writing a book. For you entrepreneurs out there, know that it will never be right the first time.
The same goes for business plans, marketing plans, and just flat out launching. You can't prepare for everything, there is a lot that you won't be able to discover until after you encounter it. Experience is worth more than rubies in this world we live in today. That being said, do not fear the "soft open". Air out your creation to a select few in the world and welcome their feedback. The most successful people came to be that way because they celebrated their failures and corrected their mistakes. But, how would they have ever known they were mistakes if someone had not told them so?
JES Works...my apologies, NJ Works, is on soft open. I am wrapping up the final details of the email marketing campaign we are doing and then preparing for a direct mail system. This is where we find many of the major holes in this entire operation. That being said, please share your feedback (constructive feedback please!)
Take this in stride but do not take this lightly - Burn the bridges, there is no home to go back to. Closetpreneurship is all about escaping the plantation of "Job" and never looking back. Try a soft open!
