Hello all,
Today, the United States of America celebrated an unofficial holiday for the NFL Super Bowl. Every year, this event is an inspiring tale of 2 organizations' trials, tribulations, and victories that brought them to the behemoth title of the world. For me, this year was especially inspiring in lieu of my new found determination.
There was a piece that highlighted the Declaration of Independence and our determination as a country. I was encouraged by the piece, in particular, when the names of all those who signed that piece of paper were shown. These men put their everything, lives, honor, and family, on the line for what they believed and to no longer be supressed, but to choose their life and live it or die trying. I thought about the position I am in with being a Closetpreneur; the only tribulation I face is being fired and my family being faced with some tougher times - not losing my life, having my name dragged murdered, and those I love potentially butchered and suffering. Where did these men draw their undeniable faith and determination? How did they come to a point in their mind and spirit to say, If I do not live my life to the fullest then there is no life to live at all.
The same can be said for the men who ran up and down the field in Dallas, TX today. At some point in their lives they had to decide if they were going to put everything within themselves into their sport or do something else. Clearly, the "something else" was not an option in their minds. The same can be said for their teams; no one expected either organization to arrive at this point today. Aaron Rodgers was a "nobody" quarterback, while the Steelers did not have their star quarterback for the beginning of the season! Yet, they decided there was no other option other than to succeed or go nowhere at all.
Although, my preferred team did not win today, I am thankful for the added fire the game and pre-game entertainment brought to my dreams. Take this and run with it - whatever your dream/hustle/business is, pledge to it your life, your fortune, and your sacred honor.
